The new addition to MPL MY, King Empire, sign former SMG's ace Sasa to their team.
King Empire, the new MPL MY Season 13 addition, has signed former SMG and ONIC ace Lu "Sasa" Khai Bean to its team. Sasa is one of the original Kage in ONIC, leading them to glory in MSC and MPL ID.
When joining Team SMG, Sasa won 1 MPL MY and was a couple of runners-up, making them one of the teams to beat in the league. Unfortunately, nobody knew where Sasa would play when the Malaysian organisation disbanded before joining King Empire.
Besides Sasa, King Empire also acquired former EVOS Legends, EVOS Icon Jungler, and Arthur "Sutsujin" Sunarkho. This is the first time Sutsujin plays outside of EVOS Esports.

MPL MY Season 13 will start on March 29, 2024, and last until June 2, 2024. Homebois is the current defending champion and is looking to begin their league domination.
Only two teams from MPL MY—Red Giant Esports and King Empire—have already announced their rosters for Season 13. It will be interesting to see whether more big names join MPL MY.
One of the bigger names that joined MPL MY is the spicy dad, Muhammad "Udil" Ardiansyah. He is the statement for Homebois' ambition to defend the championship.
