The #TeamMAS Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Men's Team athletes put in strong performances for their respective MLBB Professional League (MPL) Malaysia teams during the opening week of Season 16; their competitive displays bode well for Malaysia's ambition to secure its first gold medals at the biennial multi-sport event.

The MLBB Men's and Women's Team rosters were unveiled by the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) during the opening week of MPL Malaysia Season 16 at the Sri Putra Hall in Bukit Jalil. MESF President, Muhammad Naim Al-Amin, declared their mission of securing gold medals for both MLBB contingents for Malaysia.

"It's MY Time": SEA Games Athletes Flex Their Might

Muhammad "YumS" Qayyum Ariffin, Hazziq "Stormie" Danish, and Muhammad "Sekys" Haqqullah starred for Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) in their 2-1 victory over last season's Grand Finalists, Homebois (HB). The trio from the history-making back-to-back-to-back MPL Malaysia champions will anchor the SEA Games 2025 MLBB Men's Team, bringing a host of international experience, including bringing Malaysia its first major MLBB esports tournament at the Mid Season Cup at the 2024 Esports World Cup.

They are joined by Muhammad "Uni" Danish Fitri and Idreen "Momo" Jamal from Monster Vicious (MV), who dispatched Team Vamos (VMS) 2-0 in the opening match of the season. Momo won silver at the SEA Games 2023 and 4th at SEA Games 2022 for the MLBB Men's categories. Ealtond "Lolealz" Rayner from Todak (TDK) completes the Men's Team. Despite TDK's surprise 0-2 loss to Team Rey in Week 1, Lolealz was at the center of his team's positive moments; he will be one to watch in Week 2, when TDK faces SRG.
