All eyes on Week 4 of MPL Malaysia as Selangor Red Giants (SRG) and Team Vamos (VMS) meet for their first Season 18 showdown
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 1 September 2026—Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia is putting the spotlight on the people shaping Season 18, with the return of the MPL Malaysia Awards and the launch of the MPL Malaysia Caster Search. From recognising standout performances and contributions across the ecosystem to discovering new voices behind the action, both initiatives give talent more ways to make their mark this season.
The MPL Malaysia Caster Search is an open call for new talent to showcase their casting skills and potentially become one of the next voices of MPL Malaysia. Launched during the league's Merdeka weekend celebrations, the search is open until 10 September 2026. Aspiring casters can take part by duetting the casting video and submitting their completed entry through the official form.
The MPL Malaysia Season 18 Awards extend that spotlight across the wider ecosystem, recognising excellence among players, talents, creators, storytellers, and industry stakeholders shaping Malaysian esports. Week 3 table watch: the chasing pack closes in
Selangor Red Giants (SRG) remain unbeaten and firmly on top, but Week 3 reshaped the order behind them. Team Rey (TR) made the biggest move, surging from fifth to second after victories over Bigetron MY by VIT (BTRM) and Team Flash (FL), while Team Vamos (VMS) climbed from fourth to third. Further down the table, FL and All Combo (AC) broke through for their first wins of the season, leaving RRQ Tora (RRQ) as the only team still searching for their first victory.
Week 4 brings a major test as SRG and VMS meet for the first time this season in a rematch of the Season 17 Grand Finals. Since then, their paths diverged on the international stage. VMS delivered Malaysia's strongest performance at the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC), while SRG exited before the Knockout Stage. Back on home soil, the question is whether VMS can carry that momentum into MPL Malaysia and become the first team to end SRG's unbeaten start.
