Week 2 of MPL Malaysia saw young talent challenge the established order, as Season 18 heads into a pivotal Week 3 with its first Transfer Window
KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 24 August 2026—Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia is bringing the Merdeka spirit to the MPL Malaysia Arena from 28 to 30 August with #MYeraMYMerdeka, turning the match week into a celebration of the community behind Malaysia's biggest esports league. While rivalries continue on the battlefield, fans will come together for karaoke sessions and a Negaraku sing-along, filling the arena with familiar songs, shared voices and plenty of Malaysian spirit throughout the weekend.
The celebration continues with the MY Era Wall, where fans can leave messages and creative entries for a chance to win exclusive MPL Malaysia Crests, in-game badges that let them proudly represent their favourite MPL Malaysia teams.

Young blood challenges MPL Malaysia's established order
Selangor Red Giants (SRG) remain unbeaten after handing Bigetron MY by VIT (BTRM) their first loss of the season. BTRM hold second, while Invictus Gaming (iG) overtook Team Vamos (VMS) to break into the top three.
Across the league, a new generation is making its mark. iG's Danish Izdihar "Athann" Mazlan and Dhiya' Harith Hazran "Rojki" Shahrul Hadafi, alongside Team Rey (TR)'s Muhammad Aditya "Dolyn" Irawan, are among the rising talents earning Most Valuable Player (MVP) honours alongside the league's established names. Their emergence reflects a broader wave of young talent taking shape under the Partnership Programme, which gives teams greater stability to invest in and develop the next generation.
That generational contest continues into Week 3 as BTRM face VMS, with veteran Danial "CikuGais" Fuad leading BTRM's experienced core against a new generation of VMS talent spearheaded by Danish "Error 404" Abdullah. With BTRM holding second and the Season 17 runners-up looking to regain ground, the matchup could tighten the chase behind unbeaten SRG. The early order could shift further with Season 18's first Transfer Window from 24 to 27 August, giving teams their first opportunity to reshape their rosters. All eyes will be on All Combo (AC), RRQ Tora (RRQ), and Team Flash (FL), who remain in search of their first win after two weeks.
